Our Story
Silver Silo Bakery and Espresso is the fulfillment of a dream for a couple of us farm boys who grew up on a dairy farm in Beryl, Utah. We had the opportunity there to grow our own food, and we enjoyed the healthy life style that it gave us.
In 2006, we left the farm and started a steel erection company. Fast foods were readily available, but we missed the wholesome goodness we once had on the farm, so our families volunteered to come out and cook for us on our jobs across the country. With three healthy meals a day being served to our working crews, we saw the results of these nutritious meals in our crews' increased performance on our jobs. We wanted others to share this experience, so we decided to invest in our hometown of Cedar City to fulfill this dream. Our goal was to provide a delicious variety of wholesome sandwiches, soups, pastries, and drinks, with quick service-without compromising quality.
All our breads and pastries are baked "from scratch" daily using only unrefined organic sugar and 100% fresh-ground whole wheat with no preservatives added. Our coffee beans are hand selected from the best that can be found and locally roasted to perfection. Our refresher teas are cold-brewed daily from the finest leaves, and our fruit smoothies are made from natural fruits with no sugar added. We haven't wanted to compromise in the least bit, so even the water for our ice is specially filtered to give you the best that can be offered.
